Vocational Training

Besides giving the students a good basic education, Hakim Mohammed Said also wanted to provide vocational training to help make them into productive citizens of Pakistan and bread-earners for their families. With this aim in mind, Mrs Sadia Rashid, furthering the noble mission of her father, Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, set up a center in the school for the vocational training of its students. A workshop for tailoring and another for the training of electric wireman have started functioning. A number of training programmes for carpentry, auto-mechanics, goldsmithry, lathe machine work, welding, plumbing and modern techniques of farming have also been planned. The Vocational Training Centre of Hamdard Village School is housed in a wing of the building. The wing has all the needed facilities and infrastructure for fully-equipped training workshops.
