Hamdard Village School has been founded with the noble aim of providing the best possible education and training facilities to students – the kind of facilities that are acceptable to both Madinat al-Hikmah (City of Education, Science and Culture) as well as the Ministry of Education. While doing this not only the needs of Pakistani students but also the needs of foreign students have been kept in mind. At Madinat al-Hikmah the educational and training needs from school to the University level are met. Madinat al-Hikmah is the culmination of the lofty ideals and aspirations of its founder, Shaheed-e-Pakistan, Hakim Mohammed Said and a reflection of his farsightedness. Hamdard Foundation Pakistan is a philanthropic organization whose aim has been to increase the pace of progress and as such has initiated several projects in the areas of education, science and culture, many of which have received international recognition.

Hamdard Village School has strength of around 700 students from surrounding area of Madinat al-Hikmah including 38 goths. Hamdard Village School is providing quality education, uniforms, school bags and shoes free of cost to poor and needy students of the area.

Standard of Education

The curriculum followed is in accordance with the one prescribed by the Education Department, Government of Sindh, but other books and teaching aids are used which give a wider vision and understanding of the subjects. The objective is to provide ideal education and training for the development of personality and character of the student.

Library

The School & College Sections have their own libraries of sizeable number of books, magazines and journals.

Science Museum

After a thorough study and review of many internationally acclaimed educational institutions expansion is always being made in the present Science Museum for the benefit of the students of Hamdard Public School.

Vocational Training

Besides giving the students a good basic education, Hakim Mohammed Said also wanted to provide vocational training to help make them into productive citizens of Pakistan and bread-earners for their families. With this aim in mind, Mrs. Sadia Rashid, furthering the noble mission of her father, Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, set up a center in the school for the vocational training of its students.
